| Ferocactus wislizeni (fishhook barrel cactus). This Texas native also know as Candy Barrel can be found growing in far west Texas, it can live as long as 100 years and grows as much as 6 feet tall, and at that height would weigh about 500 pounds. That's a big Texan. |

| Apparently in Mexico the cactus is sometimes sliced into bite sized chunks and soaked in sugar to become a sweet chewable candy for children....yum..? |
